Peter Heartquist
Superintendent Civil and Landscapes Division
Peter Heartquist is the Civil & Landscape Division Superintendent at Flycatcher LLC. Having previously worked for a large construction company in Maine, Pete gained valuable knowledge and experience that made him a good fit for this role. Helping build powerlines, wind farms, solar fields among many other things, Pete acquired valuable experience in heavy equipment and earthwork operation. He also enhanced his environmental values as an environmental inspector on a large-scale power line project. Pete graduated from the University of Maine in 2001, with a bachelor’s degree in forestry.
Pete’s role takes him in multiple directions statewide. Managing and overseeing daily operations of the C&L division Pete is often found in the field getting his hands dirty. He is responsible for ordering materials and equipment, maintaining safety goals, quality control and coordinating with team members. Additionally, he is also asked to perform environmental inspections from time to time.
He resides in central Maine where he able to enjoy most all Maine has to offer. Pete and his family are often found visiting the coast, mountains, woods, and waterways. The Heartquists enjoy hiking, beachcombing, hunting, fishing, swimming or simply an afternoon right there in their front yard, either relaxing on the deck, playing sports on the lawn, at the fire-pit with the charcoal grill, or outback in the vegetable garden. All these enjoyments absolutely require the preservation of Maine’s natural resources.
