We are seeking an enthusiastic learner with experience in wetland and wildlife science and ecology, and/or stormwater and erosion and sedimentation control. The right candidate should have great written and personal communication skills, a focus for producing high-quality work, a natural curiosity for learning, and an appetite for taking on new challenges and finding solutions.
The next person to join our growing team should have experience performing natural resource surveys, including wetland delineations and vernal pool assessments; leading field teams, mapping habitat types, collecting GPS data, analyzing data, and compiling reports. Additionally, preference will be given to any candidate with direct experience supporting development of local, state and federal permit applications, especially in Maine. Experience in stormwater and erosion/sedimentation control and inspection is also a plus.
Our new team member will provide key support for Flycatcher’s Project Managers, supporting ongoing and new projects, working independently and collaborating with other staff while also engaging directly with current and new clients. Short-term travel will be required from time to time. The successful candidate should have a valid US driver's license with a clean record, good references, and be able to walk for long distances on rugged terrain in varied climatic conditions.
