Jacob Aaron

Environmental Scientist

Jacob Aaron is an Environmental Scientist who joined the Flycatcher team in the spring of 2026. He is a graduate of the University of Maine with a degree in Wildlife Ecology and a lifelong passion for the natural sciences.

Jacob brings a diverse background in environmental consulting, natural resource assessments, wildlife surveys, environmental permitting, and compliance inspections. Throughout his career, he has worked on projects across the country involving endangered and threatened species, birds, bats, amphibians, insects, plant communities, and a wide range of natural habitats. Whether identifying rare species in the field, navigating permitting requirements, or answering the perennial question, “What kind of bug is this?”, Jacob is always eager to share his knowledge.

Outside of work, Jacob enjoys uranium glass hunting, cultivating a collection of rare and exotic plants, gardening, collecting fossils and minerals, and searching for the best sushi he can find. He also spends plenty of time trying to keep up with the boundless energy of his 8-year-old chihuahua, Jax.
