

Dan Herzlinger (PWS)
Senior Project Manager
Dan Herzlinger is a Senior Project Manager at Flycatcher LLC and a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) with more than 20 years of experience in environmental consulting. His work focuses on wetland delineations, natural resource assessments, and federal, state, and municipal environmental permitting. Dan has more than a decade of experience managing multi-disciplinary teams on infrastructure projects across the Northeast, including solar farms, transmission line upgrades, substations, and transportation improvements. He has led field teams and helped guide complex projects from concept through permitting and construction, with a practical focus on resolving the challenges that arise on energy and infrastructure projects.
Before he became a consultant, Dan started out as an environmental educator in Massachusetts, running outdoor education programs and trips, and spent some time as a municipal Conservation Agent in Massachusetts. He was a volunteer tour guide for the Emerald Necklace Conservancy in Boston and currently serves as the Secretary of the City of Portland Land Bank Commission. Outside of the office, Dan enjoys canoeing, kayaking, biking, and skiing with his family.
